I've released a round of bugfix packages this week for EZ Realty, EZ Autos and EZ Rider, and these are available for download as usual from your customer accounts.

The latest upgrade for EZ Realty is the 5.3.4 version, and it has fixed a text editor bug with the frontend add profile function.

EZ Autos 5.3.3 also has a fix for the same text editor bug, as well as more extensive changes to the make/model selector list code.  The AJAX code that has been used for many years has proven to be problematic with some SEF systems - so I've changed it to javascript/php code to resolve this problem.  If you're upgrading your site - you will need to upgrade both EZ Autos and the search module.

The EZ Rider 3.2.1 version has some changes to a couple of database queries that were having problems with newer versions of MySQL, and it has also had the branding code updated for correct display with link free and brand free licenses.

As usual - make a full backup of your site and database prior to doing any upgrade - and don't perform upgrade work when you're tired, rushed or feeling cranky or distracted.  Read the user guide upgrade instructions, make sure you understand the procedure fully - and then dive in.  If you make a mistake - don't keep trying to fix it until you make a complete mess.  Know when to stop and ask for help - and remember the backups you made are your safety net ;-)

I'm pleased to announce that EZ Rider 3.2.0 has been released today.  EZ Rider 3.2.0 will run native on Joomla 1.5x, and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my customers who've been providing some excellent beta testing assistance over the past couple of months.

Changes to this release includes new configurable options for image systems support which has resolved many of the template conflicts of the past, uddeIM messaging support in addition to the old myPMS support, systems checks to remind users visually of important settings and data that has not been setup correctly, and changes to the code structure to support customization of the search functions and email functions.  Image numbers have been increased to 24 images per listing, and the image layouts have also been extracted from the full details page templates - and these are now 2 separate mix-n-match systems which will enable far greater flexibility with layouts.

New files are also available for jReviews integration - so if you're using this - remember to update them on your jReviews system.

Customers can access their upgrade packages as usual from their customer accounts, and updated user guides are also available for download - so don't forget to download the new user guide at the same time.  The new documentation contains information on the download package contents, upgrade instructions, new installation instructions, support site downloads, and overview of the components, modules, and plugins - as well as information on troubleshooting, a couple of tutorials on a couple of topics, and information on where to get support if you need it.

The EZ Rider 3.2.0 package for Joomla 1.5x native is a total upgrade - so remember you will need to upgrade EZ Rider, Rider Map, all of the modules, and all of the plugins.

I've released the EZ Realty and EZ Autos 5.3.1 bugfix packages this evening, and they fix a couple of minor issues that were present in the 5.3.0 releases.

The EZ Realty 5.3.1 bugfix addresses a bug identified with the popular localities on the multilayout page if the expiration management system is in use, a bug with the main search filter if it was configured to be the main opening page of EZ Realty, and a bug with the postcode import function.  I've also recoded the names of the popup calendar functions to reduce the incidence of code clashes with other javascript that was resulting in the breakage of the popup calendar.  The EZ Realty plugin for Community Builder has also been updated for the Community Builder 1.2.1 version, and the loan mortgage calculators have had their javascript functions renamed to reduce the potential for code clashes with other javascript.

EZ Autos had some minor bugs with the postcode, makes and models CSV import function, and template 3 for the listings pages had some backslashes showing and needed a tweak to remove those prior to page output.  I also missed putting in a page ordering configuration setting into the 5.3.0 version, so I've added that feature into this release.  The addition of configurable page ordering also means the search filter module required updating, and there have been a number of new language tags added to the language files as a result of the new feature.  The EZ Autos plugin for Community Builder has also been updated for the Community Builder 1.2.1 version, and as the loan calculator has had changes made to its function names - it too has been added to the bugfix list.

If you are already using either EZ Realty or EZ Autos 5.3.0 on your Joomla 1.5x native site - you can log into your customer account and you'll find there is a 5.3.0-5.3.1 bugfix package available for download.  This package contains the modified component files as well as any other packages affected by the bugfix release.  You will not need to download any other package to do the bugfix upgrade.

If you are using older versions of EZ Realty or EZ Autos - you will find there are the full distribution packages available as usual.  They contain both a new installation component zip file and an upgrade installation zip file.

Applying the various bugfixes to your site is the same process as performing an upgrade, and you'll find instructions on how to do an upgrade are included in the user guides which are available for download from your customer account.
